Catching Joy by Stacy Peasley on Tuneful Tuesday

Today’s edition comes from member Stacy Peasley, she sang it at our last conference, and it was a joy to hear live.

Catching Joy is a wonderful, volunteer organization for kids in Boston that teaches kids the joy of giving to others. I decided to take message of this group and try to turn it into a song! My daughter, son, and daughter’s Girl Scout troop sang on it, so it’s very special to me!

Catching Joy by Stacy Peasley

Verse 1:

I know someone who makes a difference
I know someone who holds the key
I know someone whose full of kindness
I know someone who’ll plant the seed
So let’s take some lemons and make lemonade
Just take the first step to create change

Chorus:

Share a smile and lend a hand
And we will all be catching joy
Now’s the time to make a plan
And we will all be catching joy
You got it, so give it
It doesn’t cost a thing
Just open your heart up and you will hear it sing
You’ll hear it sing

Verse 2:

I know someone who is the future
I know someone with a heart of gold
I know someone who is grateful
I know someone with a gentle soul
So show your true colors, let your spirit fly
You’ll reap the rewards if you give it a try

Repeat Chorus
