CMN Gets Advice & Help from Simmons College Students

Many thanks to our three Simmons College interns, who are helping us with social networking and marketing for the spring semester, 2013!

Chelsea Keyes

Team leader Chelsea Keyes is in her junior year at Simmons, pursuing a B.A in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and Marketing Communications. Chelsea has a passion for photography and is an official New York Fashion Week photographer. Her experience ranges from a social media based internship at Music Choice to being vice president of the Public Relations Student Society and Black Student Organization on campus. She has also been a marketing and promotions intern at Comcast Spotlight in her hometown of Bloomfield, Connecticut for the past three summers. As project manager Chelsea is responsible for keeping the team on track and managing the relationship between the client and the team.

Sara Balghoniam

Sara Balghonaim is from Saudi Arabia, and is working towards completing her B.A. in PR & Marketing Communications. She is hoping to pursue a career in Marketing and Communications and to be involved in film production as a side job. She had worked as a marketing intern at Interspeak Translations Inc., for social media and is currently a part-time communications/events intern for Project Bread. She brings to the table well-rounded knowledge of media relations and PR writing. She is thrilled to be working for the Children’s Music Network this semester, and has always had a passion for learning new techniques on how to teach children about social change. Her job is to develop research for the final journal on the project, as well as assist with social media writing.

Cristina Aiello

Cristina Aiello is in her senior year and pursuing a B.A. in PR & Marketing Communications, with minors in Radio and Intergraded Media. Cristina is passionate about music and film, and hopes that her interests in both fields will lead to a position as a publicist where she can exercise her writing and marketing skills. Cristina is also the current radio station manager at Simmons College and can be found training young DJs or sitting behind the microphone and providing entertainment through her own show. For this project, Cristina will be helping The Children’s Music Network establish a greater presence on social media, and she will provide the organization with ideas on how to expand on a national level.
